Who is English Tutor Freya?
About Freya
I help people live their best lives by teaching them the English language and sharing insights into English culture.
I teach online and also within a 10-mile radius of Exning, UK.
I have several TEFL/TESOL qualifications, including a 200-hour, Level 5 OFQUAL-regulated Diploma. I specialise in Business English and in teaching Neurodiverse students.
I teach using a communicative language teaching approach (CLT). CLT focuses on using language to exchange real meaning in communication, emphasising interaction and practical application over rote memorisation of grammar rules. This learner-centred approach employs activities like role-plays, games, and problem-solving tasks to develop communicative competence, enabling learners to use the language effectively in real-life situations. The goal is to allow communication in the target language through engaging in meaningful tasks and authentic interactions.
